The Role

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of high-volume payroll operations across multiple entities. You will manage weekly and fortnightly pay cycles while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Processing multiple weekly and fortnightly payroll runs
/n
- Maintaining employee records, entitlements, allowances and deductions
/n
- Processing terminations, adjustments and payroll reconciliations
/n
- Ensuring accurate STP reporting and compliance with ATO requirements
/n
- Managing superannuation, PAYG and statutory obligations
/n
- Responding to payroll queries and providing expert support
/n
- Contributing to process improvements and payroll system optimisation
/n/n
Skills & Experience
/n
/n
- Significant experience in high-volume payroll environments
/n
- Proven experience processing large payrolls of 1000+ employees end-to-end
/n
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
/n
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent payroll cycles
/n
- High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
/n
- Solid communication skills and ability to work autonomously

Highly Regarded:
/n
/n
- Experience with Employment Hero, Xero, Astute Payroll, or similar large payroll/CRM systems
/n
- Experience working within outsourced or multi-entity payroll environments
/n
- Exposure to cloud-based payroll integrations
/n/n
