Thursday Island Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join its theatre team on an immediate contract basis. Based at Thursday Island Hospital, the position is remunerated at AUD72.50 to AUD81.50 per hour, and suits a nurse with solid scrub and scout experience who is ready to make a real difference in a tight-knit clinical team.

Preferred Requirements





- Minimum three years' experience as a theatre scrub or scout nurse
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal First Responder qualification
- Current credentialing and willingness to participate in portfolio and audit management responsibilities as a senior clinical staff member

Preferred Qualifications

- Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Medical Emergency Committee (MEC) or Research Ethics Committee (REC) accreditation
- Demonstrated experience working in remote or regional healthcare settings
