Are you a senior software engineer who's successfully built and shipped AI-powered products into production?

We're partnering exclusively with an innovative global SaaS business to find an experienced Senior C#/.NET AI Engineer to help shape the next generation of AI capabilities across a mature, market-leading software platform.

This is NOT an AI research role.

It's a Software engineering role first and foremost.

You'll spend your time building production software, solving real customer problems and delivering AI capabilities that are used by thousands of customers; not building prototypes, demos or internal experiments.

The Opportunity

You'll join a high-performing product engineering team where AI is already embedded throughout both the product and the software development lifecycle.

Working closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers, you'll help design,



build and scale intelligent product capabilities that automate complex workflows and deliver genuine customer value.

Current and upcoming initiatives include:

- Natural language querying across business and project data
- AI-powered proposal generation
- Intelligent workflow automation
- AI-assisted document and invoice generation
- Agentic workflows to eliminate repetitive administrative tasks
- Greenfield AI capabilities across an expanding product roadmap

You'll own features end to end; from technical design and architecture through to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

- Design, build and ship production software across a modern SaaS platform
- Develop customer-facing AI capabilities using Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Build robust retrieval, tool calling, orchestration and agentic workflows
- Improve AI quality through evaluation, testing, observability and monitoring
- Work closely with Product and Design to solve meaningful customer problems
- Help establish best practices for building reliable, scalable AI products
- Mentor engineers and contribute to an AI-first engineering culture

What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong software engineer first, with genuine commercial experience delivering AI capabilities into production.

Ideally you'll bring:





- Strong commercial experience building scalable backend applications using C#/.NET
- Experience delivering production web applications within modern engineering teams
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping customer-facing LLM features
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, RAG, structured outputs, tool/function calling and agentic workflows
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock or similar AI platforms
- Knowledge of embeddings, semantic search and vector databases
- Experience evaluating AI systems for quality, latency, accuracy and cost
- Strong engineering fundamentals with excellent problem-solving skills

Experience with React or Angular is beneficial but not essential.
