Townsville Education Centre is looking for a passionate Psychologist who wants to provide high-quality psychological care while helping shape the future of a growing multidisciplinary service.

This is not a traditional back-to-back therapy role.

You will have a sustainable target of approximately 25 direct clinical hours per week, with an additional 5–10 hours of indirect billable work depending on your caseload and assessment mix.

The remainder of your working week will be dedicated to multidisciplinary collaboration, program development, referral relationships, clinical systems, community engagement and helping us build an exceptional psychology service for children, young people and families.

You will work across 4.5 days per week, giving you the opportunity to build a meaningful career without sacrificing your entire life to it.

About Townsville Education Centre

Townsville Education Centre is part of the All Access Education Group, a locally owned organisation providing tutoring, education programs, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and community-based events.

We are building a genuinely collaborative service where children and families can access educational, developmental and therapeutic support from a team that communicates, shares knowledge and sees the whole child.

Our multidisciplinary team includes Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, education professionals and an expanding range of health and developmental services.

We are not interested in creating a high-volume psychology service driven by unrealistic billable targets.

We want to create a workplace where clinicians feel trusted, supported and able to do thoughtful, ethical and meaningful work.

The role

Your week will include:

- Approximately 25 hours of direct clinical work
- Approximately 5–10 hours of indirect billable work
- Psychological assessment and intervention for children and young people
- ADHD, cognitive, learning and neurodevelopmental assessments within your experience and scope
- Parent interviews, feedback sessions and collaborative care planning
- Report writing, scoring,



formulation and liaison with relevant stakeholders
- Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, educators and other members of our multidisciplinary team
- Developing psychology programs, resources, pathways and systems
- Building relationships with families, schools, GPs, paediatricians and community organisations
- Supporting the growth and direction of the psychology service
- Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions and collaborative planning
- Helping create a clinically strong, family-centred and sustainable service

Your caseload may include children and young people requiring support with:

- ADHD and executive functioning
- Autism and neurodevelopmental differences
- Anxiety and emotional regulation
- Behavioural and emotional concerns
- School avoidance and educational disengagement
- Learning difficulties
- Trauma and significant life experiences
- Social and interpersonal challenges
- Parenting support
- Psychological and cognitive assessments
- Adjustment, resilience and confidence
- Functional and developmental concerns

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Holds postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology
- Holds current general registration with AHPRA
- Is eligible to obtain relevant Medicare provider numbers
- Holds, or can obtain, a Queensland Blue Card and any other required worker screening
- Has experience working with children, young people and families
- Has experience in psychological assessment, intervention or both
- Can complete clear, high-quality clinical reports and documentation
- Communicates openly and works well within a multidisciplinary team
- Values neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based and family-centred practice
- Balances clinical independence with collaborative decision-making
- Wants to contribute ideas rather than simply inherit a caseload
- Is motivated by meaningful growth rather than high-volume billable-hour targets

Experience completing ADHD, cognitive, learning, autism or broader neurodevelopmental assessments will be highly regarded.

Experienced Psychologists are strongly encouraged to apply.
