About the role
As a Midwife at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), you will play a vital role in delivering safe, contemporary and evidence-based care to women, babies and families throughout their maternity journey. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care while partnering with women to support informed decision-making and positive health outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Apply clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of woman and baby centred care.
- Develop in partnership with women individualised care plans for antenatal, postnatal and intrapartum care and may extend to women's health, sexual or reproductive health, preparation for parenthood and childcare.
- Maintain woman and baby safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
- Respond appropriately to sudden alterations in the health status of the woman and baby using comprehensive midwifery assessment and intervention skills.
