About the Role
Transport Refrigeration Services (TRS) is seeking a Service Technician to join our Wingfield team. Initial days will be spent in the workshop working within a supportive team to service, diagnose, repair, and occasionally install transport refrigeration systems. Once diagnostic skills are considered sound, opportunities to progress to fieldwork may become available.

This role would suit a qualified tradesperson within the automotive industry, or someone with air-conditioning/refrigeration experience who is looking to expand their skillset. Full factory training is provided to the right applicant as well as formal training such as working at heights or ARC licencing.

You will be responsible for completing work to TRS' high standards, maintaining a safe and productive environment, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and refrigeration issues efficiently and accurately
- Carry out occasional refrigeration unit installations
- Ensure all work meets TRS quality standards and customer expectations
- Follow all WHS and industry compliance requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Accurately complete service, repair, and maintenance records
- Work collaboratively with the service team and support other branch functions as required

What We're Looking For




We are seeking a technician who brings technical aptitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. While experience with refrigeration or diesel systems is highly regarded, full training is available for candidates with strong mechanical foundations.

Skills & Experience

- Qualified automotive tradesperson (light or heavy vehicle, auto electrician, plant mechanic, etc.), or qualification/experience in refrigeration or air-conditioning
- ARC licence advantageous, but TRS will assist the successful applicant to obtain it
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Sound knowledge of WHS standards and safe work practices
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Driver's licence preferred
- Hand tools and gauges required (tool allowance provided)
