Wedgetail Roof Racks, operated by Tradesman Pty Ltd, is seeking a reliable and motivated Welder to join our growing production team in Melbourne.We manufacture premium steel roof racks and accessories for 4WDs and touring vehicles, supplying customers across Australia.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop and takes pride in producing high-quality work.About the RoleThe successful applicant will work within our production and fabrication team manufacturing steel roof racks and accessories in a busy workshop environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMIG welding of steel componentsProduction line fabrication and assembly workOperating workshop equipment and toolsGrinding,



finishing and quality checking productsMaintaining production targets and workflowReading and interpreting workshop drawingsMaintaining a clean and secure work environmentQualifications & Experience Welder – Wedgetail Roof RacksRelevant trade qualification in welding/fabrication or equivalent relevant work experienceMIG welding experience preferredPrevious experience in steel fabrication, workshop production or a similar manufacturing setting will be highly regardedAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipReliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a teamPhysically fit and capable of manual handling dutiesWhat We OfferAnnual salary of $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on experienceOvertime prospects availableSupportive team environmentOpportunity to grow with a respected Australian manufacturing brandModern workshop and equipment
