About the role
Our client is a well-established organisation experiencing steady growth and is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their collaborative finance team.
Based in Wetherill Park, the business offers a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
This position is ideal for someone with a background in transactional finance who is looking to step into an accounting-focused role.
You will gain exposure to month‐end processes, journals, and reconciliations while continuing to utilise your strengths in receipting and allocations.
Position Description
High-volume cash receipting and payment allocations
Investigating and resolving discrepancies
Assisting with journals and general ledger entries
Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with month-end processes
Working across internal systems (ERP)
to maintain accurate financial records
Candidate Profile
Experience in receipting, allocations, or transactional finance (AR/AP)
Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits & credits)
Robust attention to detail and reconciliation skills
Experience working in a quick‐paced, high‐volume environment
Excellent communication and a proactive, positive attitude
A genuine interest in developing a career in accounting
