The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Line Up Producer togather,prepare, write, edit, produce, and output continuous news bulletins for ABC News.
The Job
Build and output live news bulletins on ABC News Channel to the highest editorial and journalistic standards.
Check rundowns, stories and content for factual and style errors/inconsistencies and ensure content is accurate, timely and cutting-edge.
Undertake a range of production tasks as directed by supervising producers across a 24 hour /seven-day roster.
Suggest, develop and contribute story and guest ideasthat are relevant to a broad section of Australians and reflect the cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity of the country.
Actively engage with communities to find and tell stories that are relevant for them and in line with the News strategy.

About You
You are an experienced Producer with control room experience building and outputting live news ideally in a continuous news setting.
In addition, you will have:




Experience in the control room outputting live news bulletins including breaking news, live events, live reporter crosses, news conferences and studio interviews.
Sound writing and desktop editing skills.
Accomplished editorial judgement with a proven track record in television news/current affairs.
Great organisational and communication skills, as well as advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
The capacity to identify opportunities to improve and develop content, as well as generating new content.
