Exciting opportunity for a Painter Blaster to work on a 6-week shutdown project at Port Waratah in Newcastle

We are currently seeking experienced Industrial Painter & Blasters to join a 6-week project at Port Waratah Coal Services in Newcastle, commencing 3 August. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major industrial maintenance project, offering competitive rates, consistent hours, and penalty rates.

What's on Offer

- Project Start: 3rd August 2026
- Duration: 6-week project
- Pay Rate: $48.32 per hour + penalties
- Roster: Monday to Saturday, 6:00am – 4:00pm (10-hour days)

Key Responsibilities

- Abrasive blasting and surface preparation
- Industrial spray painting and application of protective coatings
- Preparing steel surfaces to specification
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Adhering to site procedures and WHS requirements

To Be Successful You Will Have

- Trade qualification in Industrial Painting and Blasting (or equivalent industry experience)
- Previous experience in industrial painting and abrasive blasting
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation and protective coating systems
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
