Duties
Act on complex tax litigation and dispute resolution matters.
Provide taxation advice on an compelling mix of taxation matters, including income and capital gains tax, M&A; transactions, financing transactions, due diligence, and trusts.
Be responsible for managing reviews,
audits and litigation conducted by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
Draft high-quality legal advice and other technical documentation.
Work closely with Partners and clients to develop effective tax strategies and outcomes.
Skills & Experience
4+ years' PAEin taxation law.
Previous tax disputes or taxation litigation experience will be highly regarded.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding drafting, communication and client relationship management abilities.
A cooperative approach and genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers.
Candidates with a taxation background gained in a leading accounting or professional services firm are also encouraged to apply.
