Chef de Partie at Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough, 148 The Esplanade, Scarborough, Western Australia, Australia. This role is based in Western Australia and requires a proactive kitchen skilled to contribute to a high-standard kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Food production and presentation Maintain quality and ensure a clean, organized workspace and proper food handling and storage.
- Prepare mise en place for current and upcoming shifts and maintain par levels of dry goods.
- Prepare and cook in line with kitchen recipes and standards, with urgency while upholding safety and quality.
- Organise the assigned section/outlet to run efficiently and support teammates to ensure smooth operation.
- Monitor and control food wastage, portion sizes, and assist with stocktakes when required.
- Monitor guest feedback and ensure value for money while aiming to exceed guest expectations.
- Demonstrate reliable attitude and lead by example to support the team.
- Communicate issues in the kitchen or with other teams to the Head Chef as they arise.
Qualifications and Skills
- Formal Industry Trade Qualifications or completed/completing a Commercial Cookery Qualification.
- Current Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
- Relevant work experience for the role.
- Physical capability to meet role demands (carrying plates, fine motor skills, grip knives).
- Frequent handling of cleaning products and cloths for cleaning kitchen areas.
- Frequent pushing/pulling and walking on uneven surfaces.
- Regular lifting and relocating delivered goods; bending, reaching, and lifting kitchen and floor equipment and utensils.
- Frequent exposure to higher temperatures and performing tasks at waist height.
Remuneration
Base salary from $79,499.42 per annum excluding superannuation.
