Aurora is seeking a Student Recruitment and Partnership Advisor based at the Townsville campus , servicing Townsville and the North Queensland region.

The opportunity

As part of the Student Recruitment team, you will work closely with and report to the Student Recruitment and Partnership Manager based in Toowoomba .

This position is well-suited to:





- Individuals with sales or engagement experience in the education sector , or

- Those currently working in the RTO or VET sector who are seeking a change or the next step in their careers , or

- People who are actively involved in the local community, including business networks, industry groups, charities and community organisations, and can use these connections to build meaningful partnerships and generate new business opportunities across the region.

Key responsibilities

- Establishing and nurturing relationships with local schools, employers and the Apprentice Connect Australia Provider (ACAP) in Townsville and the broader region.

- Facilitating school-based traineeships .

- Proactively following up on sales leads and student enquiries.

- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities .

- Participating in trade shows, exhibitions, careers events and promotional activities as required.

- Leading or championing projects, campaigns or partnerships across North Queensland.

About you

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills .

- A high level of personal presentation .

- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills .

- Self-motivation and a strong drive to succeed.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word,



Excel and PowerPoint).

- A positive “can-do” attitude and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills .

- A current driver’s license and reliable vehicle .

- A current QLD Blue Card , or the ability to promptly obtain one upon successful appointment.

You may also bring:

- Experience in student recruitment, sales, business development or stakeholder engagement , ideally within education, VET or a similar client-focused environment.

As this role may involve direct contact with students under the age of 18, the successful applicant will be required to hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Blue Card prior to commencement. As part of Aurora’s onboarding process, the successful applicant will also be required to complete an internal Child Safety and Wellbeing professional development module.
