Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer – Digital Modernisation Division

Key Responsibilities

- Support hybrid identity services across Microsoft Entra ID, AWS, and on‑premises Active Directory to maintain a consistent and secure identity experience.
- Administer directory synchronisation, federation, and provisioning processes, ensuring reliable joiner, mover, and leaver outcomes.
- Manage access administration across platforms, including users, groups, roles, RBAC, and permission sets aligned to policy and governance standards.
- Investigate and resolve identity‑related issues such as authentication failures, synchronisation errors, and access entitlement challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through identity governance, monitoring, automation, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

About You And What You’ll Bring

- Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid identity environments across Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), AWS IAM, and Active Directory Domain Services.
- Robust understanding of identity protocols and integration patterns including SAML,



OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, federation, and synchronisation.
- Proven experience in identity governance, access control (RBAC), least privilege principles, and privileged access practices.
- Technical capability in automation and scripting using tools such as PowerShell or Python to enhance identity operations.
- Effective communicator who collaborates inclusively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and maintains high‑quality documentation.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance.
