Job Description
Queensland Hydraulics is looking for an experienced hydraulic/Mechanical Fitter in a workshop (80%) onsite (20%) based role.
In the workshop you will be responsible for the assembly of hydraulic cylinders (new cylinders), and repair work (disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, test of rams), and hydraulic power unit assembly (pipework and hydraulic component fitting of recent systems) and at site you will be responsible for pipework installations.
Site accommodation and food is provided.
Welding skills would be beneficial but not essential.
You will be supported by a team of engineers to assist with your knowledge and understanding of fluid power/hydraulics
About the Candidate
This full time role suits a person who is reliable, hard-working, has valuable attention to detail, a positive attitude,
and the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
Fitter trade with minimum 5 years experience
Hydraulics experience would be an advantage (however we are willing to train the right person)
Welding TIG & MIG
Ability to understand production drawings and produce quality workmanship, on time and to stated tolerances
Tasks & responsibilities

Overseeing and being a role model to apprentices within the workshop on learning and practising correct and proven Fitting methods
