We are currently seeking experiencedHeavy Vehicle Mechanicsto play a key role in keeping the fleet of garbage trucks and other heavy vehicles, and equipment in top condition.
Based at the Fairfield Depot, this hands‐on role is ideal for experienced mechanics looking to work in a supportive, safety‐focused team.
Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy vehicles and plant equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and transmission faults
Keep accurate maintenance and service records
Maintain workshop safety and assist with parts inventory
Ensure all work complies with WHS and environmental standards
What You'll Need:
Minimum 5 years' experience working with heavy vehicles and machinery
Solid knowledge of diesel engines,
hydraulics, and electrical systems
Experience with diagnostic tools and ECMs
HR Driver's Licence
Solid teamwork, communication, and problem‐solving skills
Understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
Highly Regarded:
Heavy Vehicle Registration Inspector certification
Welding and fabrication experience
First Aid Certification
Previous experience in fleet maintenance
Hands‐on, physical role requiring lifting up to 25kg
PPE provided and required at all times
