Chef/Cook - Full Time
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef/Cook to join our business on a full time basis.
This position will require the candidate to be available across a 7-day roster
In this role, you will take responsibility for rostering, menu planning; ordering and serve top quality food to patrons.
Key Responsibilities will include:- Planning of menu items and liaising with the Restaurant Manger on costs/expenses- Assisting with all aspects of food preparation- Supervising kitchen staff and working collectively to meet restaurant demands- Checking of kitchen inventory and ordering of supplies as required- Estimating of all restaurant costs including food,



labour and incidentals- Mentoring and training of junior staff as required- Monitoring of food preparation to ensure high standards are adhered to at all times- Assisting the Head Chef in planning Staff Rosters- Adhering to all OH&S; regulations and regular updating of policies as required
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a busy kitchen workplace- Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking- Expertise in the hospitality sector- Superior customer service focus- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse clientele- Versatile, adaptable and ability to work weekdays and weekends- Well-presented and professional- Ability to work effectively under pressure- Team player with a can-do attitude who can also work effectively unsupervised- Understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 (Commensuration with experience)
