Canegrowers Herbert River represents approximately 90% of the Herbert region cane area with the main aim to promote and develop the sugar cane growing industry in the Herbert River district but is part of a statewide network which protects and advances the sugar cane industry generally at State and Federal levels.

Join our Laboratory Team

The Cane Auditor position is primarily responsible for auditing the cane payment analysis and sampling processes and ensuring all policies and procedures are completed in accordance with the Cane Analysis Program (CAP). These fixed term positions are part of a joint program provided by CANEGROWERS Herbert River and Wilmar Sugar Herbert Region and requires working on a continuous shift roster (day or night) with weekend work and a reasonable amount of overtime required.





Selection Criteria may include the following:

- Plan and organise work within the required time schedules
- High level of attention to detail and ability to identify differentiation in process
- Ability to work as a team under supervision and supervise other employees
- Communicate effectively
- Cert III in Laboratory Skills or equivalent - desirable
- Knowledge of laboratory quality standards & procedures - desirable
