Our client, a privately owned leader in Food Processing, has presented a career-enhancing opening for Full‑Time Afternoon‑Shift Maintenance Supervisor at their Broadmeadows, VIC further processing facility. Due to industry demand, the business is adding to their 1500+ employees during this growth phase.

- Hourly Rate : $50-55ph+ 15% loading + super
- Shift : 2pm start, Monday to Friday
- Workday : 8‑hour shifts, 38‑hour week
- Some weekend work required and overtime available for standard industry award

The Role

- Lead the shift maintenance team adhering to strict plant safety procedures, inspecting work
- Create and manage workload to resource plan for the Preventative Maintenance schedule, using a CMMS
- Provide hands‑on technical plant equipment and system support during breakdowns, shutdowns and all preventative maintenance activities (30%)
- Ensure maintenance & repairs are carried out to meet OEM standards and specifications
- Manage spare parts, purchasing and sub‑contractors
- Drive and inspire the team to achieve set Key Performance Indicators

You, your Skills, Experience and Qualifications





- Full Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
- 3+ years Maintenance Leadership in a FMCG environment, ideally in Food production
- In addition, 5+ years Maintenance Fitter experience
- Sound mechanical maintenance aptitude with advanced fault finding/diagnosis on PLC controlled automated machinery and equipment
- Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP and Australian Standards
- Robust organisation skills and be happy working on your own as well as part of a team
- Ideally Fabrication, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Welding skills
- Team player, willing to slightly adjust shift times to cover teammates
- Equipment: Conveyors, high-speed packaging, sensors, packers, etc
