St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School is an independent day and boarding school for over 1500 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. We provide girls with opportunities to pursue personal and academic excellence in a respectful and supportive environment.
During term time, St Mary’s boarding students live in Anne Symington House, located at the heart of our school. Our boarding house offers a friendly, compassionate, positive environment for our boarding students, and their families. All boarding staff at St Mary’s are an integral part of the boarding house team and play a significant role in ensuring that our boarders are protected, cared for, motivated, enthused and valued.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our boarding house team, working 2 nights a week during school term – Friday and Saturday nights from 10.30pm – 7.00am. Flexibility to take extra shifts should another Boarding Night Supervisor be unavailable for work would be well regarded.
This is an overnight, stay awake position and requires an active presence within the house caring for our boarders.
Regular night‑time checks of students with specific medical needs, with accurate and effective record keeping are required.
Qualifications
- Senior First Aid Certificate current at all times with CPR component
- YMHFA to be gained within 6 months of appointment if not current
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Police Clearance
- RN or EN Nursing qualification or similar highly desirable
- ABSA Duty of Care Certificate
- Previous experience in a boarding house setting or school environment will be well regarded, although not essential.
