We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Financial Crime Surveillance team.
This role is critical in driving advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to proactively detect and prevent financial crime.
You will work at the intersection of data science, risk management, and compliance, helping us stay ahead of evolving threats.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct threat hunting, portfolio analysis, and network analysis to identify suspicious patterns and behaviours.Develop and deploy predictive models to inform risk-based decision-making.Apply machine learning, generative AI, NLP, and LLMs to enhance surveillance strategies.Build and refine automation tools and scripts for large-scale data analysis.Perform risk assessments, FTE modelling,
and resource optimisation.Analyse financial crime trends and provide actionable intelligence.Ensure data quality and integrity across upstream and surveillance systems.Create compelling visualisations and data-driven narratives for stakeholders.Key Requirements3–5 years of industry experience in generative models, deep learning, reinforcement learning.Robust background in NLP, LLMs, GenAI, OpenAI, Microsoft Cognitive Services.Advanced programming skills in Python, R, SQL; experience with SAS and PowerBI desirable.Proven ability to mentor and lead teams.Familiarity with AML, KYC, FATF regulatory frameworks.Robust communication and collaboration skills.
