As part of this growth strategy, Viscount is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive market expansion and secure new partnerships across Australia.

Your recent role

This is a true hunter role focused on creating opportunities, winning new customers and developing strategic growth markets. Reporting to the Market Development Manager, you'll take ownership of a national pipeline, engage senior decision-makers and lead complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through to commercial agreement. You'll work with customers across fresh produce, protein, poultry, food manufacturing and retail supply chains, helping them deliver better operational, commercial and sustainability outcomes through innovative reusable packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and execute a national new business growth strategy.
- Develop and manage a high-value pipeline of opportunities.
- Identify, pursue and secure strategic target accounts.




- Lead end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting through to contract execution.
- Develop compelling commercial proposals and business cases.
- Drive strategic product launches and growth initiatives.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders across customer organisations.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and National Accounts teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging growth opportunities.

What you’ll need to succeed

- 5+ years' experience in B2B sales or business development.
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, packaging, industrial products, FMCG, food manufacturing or related sectors.
- A proven ability to win and grow strategic customer accounts.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing complex sales opportunities involving multiple decision-makers.
- A proactive, self-driven approach and genuine hunter mentality.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability and solving customer challenges.
