We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to take ownership of our Canine & Feline Food category for a 12 Month fixed term contract, commencing mid-August.

About the Role

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category performance, delivering customer-focused ranges, and creating compelling promotional strategies that set Petstock apart.

What your day will look like

- Develop and execute annual category strategies aligned to business goals
- Negotiate innovative and commercially compelling promotions with suppliers
- Lead range reviews and pricing strategies in line with the review calendar
- Source and select products aligned to company vision and merchandising plans
- Build strong supplier partnerships to achieve mutual growth outcomes
- Deliver the Category Business Plan to meet budgeted KPIs
- Oversee product setup and ongoing maintenance in systems
- Coordinate category communications across stores and operational teams

About You

You are a confident and commercially minded Category Manager who brings both strategic thinking and execution excellence.

You will bring:

- Proven experience in a Category Manager or Buyer role
- Strong understanding of retail metrics and commercial drivers
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation and relationship management
- Experience across category management, product development or importing
- Ability to influence and engage multiple stakeholders
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- A collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for pets and the pet industry
