Overview

Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) is an open cut mining operation that utilises truck and excavator mining methods to produce thermal and semi-soft coking coal, which is predominantly exported for domestic power generation and steel production. The site is located within the Hunter Coalfields at Hebden in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

Responsibilities

- Work Monday to Friday reporting to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent.
- Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance for modern, heavy earthmoving plant and equipment.
- Carry out detailed inspections to ensure safety compliance and quality of work.
- Achieve availability and reliability targets by driving maintenance performance.

Essential Requirements

- Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or equivalent.
- Heavy mobile equipment maintenance experience with Caterpillar, Liebherr and/or Hitachi.
- Understanding of working under safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems,



knowledge of SAP.
- Team player able to work well in a dynamic environment.
- Solid communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

- Open Cut Coal Mining experience.
- Open Cut Coal Mining LV pit licence and experience.
