Clinical Digital Change Specialist

Shape how digital change is experienced across one of Australia's largest health services.

Digital transformation isn't successful because new technology is introduced. It's successful when clinicians embrace it, adopt it and use it to improve patient care.

As a Clinical Digital Change Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role helping our clinical workforce successfully adopt new digital ways of working. Working as part of our newly established Clinical Digital Change Practice within the Department of Clinical Informatics, you'll partner with clinicians, leaders and project teams to ensure digital initiatives deliver meaningful and lasting improvements across Monash Health.

This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new practice while influencing how digital change is delivered across one of Australia's leading health services.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on role at the frontline of healthcare transformation.

You'll lead the people side of change—helping clinicians feel informed, supported and confident throughout the journey so that the benefits of new technology are realised in everyday practice.

Collaborate closely with Clinical Informatics, Clinical Digital Learning, operational leaders and project teams to deliver structured, people‑focused change using our Clinical Digital Change Framework: Discover and Plan ; Engage and Implement ; Adopt and Embed .

You'll tailor your approach to the unique clinical environments you support, balancing organisational priorities with the realities of frontline healthcare.

Success in the role will be measured across three key areas:

- Change management planning and delivery
- Collaboration with Clinical Informatics and Clinical Digital Learning to drive adoption and benefits realisation
- Stakeholder engagement and trusted relationship development

This Full Time,

ongoing role is based in our hybrid workplace, with at least three days each week on site and flexibility to work from home. Travel across Monash Health sites will be required.

About You

You know successful digital transformation is about people—not just technology.

You bring experience leading change in complex environments and enjoy partnering with clinicians to make change practical, achievable and meaningful. You understand that healthcare teams are busy, highly skilled and constantly balancing competing priorities, and you’re able to simplify change into something that feels manageable.

You’re an excellent communicator who builds trust quickly, adapts your approach to different audiences and navigates ambiguity with confidence.

You’ll also bring:

- Experience delivering organisational or digital change, ideally within healthcare or another complex environment
- Knowledge of contemporary change management methodologies and tools
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills
- Excellent facilitation, communication and influencing abilities
- The ability to identify risks, navigate resistance and support sustainable adoption
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Qualifications in Change Management, Informatics or a related discipline (health qualifications will be highly regarded)

Why Join the Department of Clinical Informatics

The Department of Clinical Informatics brings together clinical expertise,

digital innovation and human‑centred design to improve the way care is delivered across Monash Health.

Working alongside our Chief Nursing & Midwifery Information Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer, you’ll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on transforming healthcare through digital innovation, clinical engagement and continuous improvement.

You’ll have the opportunity to help establish a recent Clinical Digital Change Practice while working on initiatives that improve clinical workflows, patient safety and the experience of both clinicians and consumers.

Working at the intersection of clinical care, technology and innovation, you’ll help create smarter digital solutions that improve patient outcomes and support the clinicians who deliver them every day.

We Offer

- The opportunity to make a real impact on patient experience
- A supportive, collaborative team environment
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities
- The chance to be part of Victoria’s largest public health service

What You Will Do

Lead a state‑wide service with real impact; work within a values‑driven, purpose‑led organisation; be part of a connected network of clinical, academic and system leaders; help drive innovation, inclusion and better health outcomes.

Equal Employment Opportunity

We recognise the value of equal employment opportunity. We are committed to patient safety, promoting fairness, equity and diversity in the workplace and to Child Safe Standards.

Next Steps

If you’re passionate about helping clinicians embrace digital innovation and want to influence the future of healthcare at scale, we’d love to hear from you.

For a confidential discussion, contact Anthony Pham, Deputy Chief Nursing and Midwifery Information Officer on 0435 968 584.
