About the role:
The firm is seeking bright and dedicated solicitors with 1-4+ years PQE to join its ever-growing employment practice.
You will be responsible for:
- Advising on a wide variety of advisory, contentious and strategic workplace matters, including in employment law, discrimination law and whistleblowing
- Providing day-to-day advice for employer clients
- Preparing documents for and attending proceedings in the Fair Work Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission
- Drafting Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court documents, including affidavits, concise statements, witness statements, and interlocutory applications
- Advising high net worth clients regarding their employment law issues
- Drafting letters of demands, without prejudice letters, and other related legal documents
- Conducting legal research into the latest updates in employment and discrimination law
The ideal candidate:
- 1-4+ years PQE in employment law (defendant experience preferred but not necessary)
- Confident and able to communicate with clients
- Wants ownership of their work and advice
- Interested in specialising in employment law
