The Complex Medical & Oncology Ward at Liverpool Hospital offers a multidisciplinary environment dedicated to delivering exceptional complex medical and oncology care. You will work within a quick‑paced, dynamic multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills specific to complex medical and oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute care nursing with demonstrated experience in a complex medical and oncology setting.
- Work a 24‑7 rotating roster, including weekend and night shifts.
- Perform excellent clinical assessment, paying close attention to detail and responding effectively in a fast‑paced acute care setting.
- Communicate effectively, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain teamwork and active listening skills.
- Commit to continuous learning, professional development and evidence‑informed practice.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Experience managing complex patients and ensuring secure, patient‑centred care,
including recognising and responding to deterioration.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patients with complex needs.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and active listening skills.
Selection Criteria
- Availability to work across a 24‑7 rotating roster (including weekend and night shifts).
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients and families.
- Relevant experience in acute care nursing and complex medical/oncology settings.
- Evidence of continuous learning and commitment to professional development.
