We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join a well-regarded consultancy, delivering and optimising enterprise data solutions. This role is ideal for a data professional with deep expertise in AWS and Databricks , looking to work on complex, large-scale data environments while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a hands-on technical role , designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and platforms that are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Base pay range

A$800.00/daily - A$850.00/daily

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and optimise data pipelines and processing solutions using AWS and Databricks .
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Ensure platform scalability, security, and performance optimisation .
- Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and technical guidance.
- Implement data governance and operational best practices to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical expertise for incidents and problem resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement across tools, processes, and data engineering practices.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in an enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services and Databricks .
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes , and modern data architectures.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and big data technologies .
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices .
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
- Exposure to consultancy or professional services environments.
