The Senior Coordinator, Student Conduct (Safer Community) provides expert advice and support to staff and students regarding behavioural concerns and conduct matters. Reporting to the Manager, Safer Community and Student Conduct, this role is responsible for managing the intake, assessment, and resolution of behavioural concerns, including risk assessments, referrals, investigations, and providing guidance on appropriate support pathways.
The role requires strong case management skills, the ability to handle sensitive matters, and experience working within policy, legislative, or regulatory frameworks.
What's involved
- Undertake triage, risk assessments, and provide advice regarding student and staff behavioural concerns.
- Manage complex conduct matters through local resolution, referrals, investigations, and appropriate escalation pathways.
- Prepare investigation briefs, reports, and documentation, including interviewing relevant stakeholders.
- Provide advice on university policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and administrative investigation processes.
- Communicate sensitive information effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders across all levels.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion, to support risk management and threat assessments.
- Analyse conduct data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience/About You
You will be an experienced conduct, complaints, investigations, or case management professional with the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters within a regulatory environment.
What we're looking for
- Experience managing conduct concerns, complaints, investigations, or case management processes.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedural fairness, privacy, and equal prospect principles.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience within higher education, government, legal, or regulatory environments will be highly regarded.
- A commitment to supporting safe, inclusive, and respectful communities.
- WWCC is required or willingness to obtain one.
