CHL INTERIOR MAXDONE PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team on a full-time basis in Braddon, ACT 2612. As a Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across a range of residential and commercial projects. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring client satisfaction through precision, attention to detail, and professional workmanship.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming walls, ceilings, doors, windows and other surfaces
- Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other application tools
- Mixing paints and ensuring colour consistency and paint quality throughout projects
- Protecting floors, fixtures and furnishings using drop sheets and masking techniques to prevent damage
- Reading and interpreting project specifications, architectural drawings and client requirements
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Liaising with project managers, clients and other tradespeople to ensure projects run smoothly and on schedule
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure all work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Maintaining and caring for painting equipment, tools and materials

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar painting and decorating role within the building trades industry
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods and finishing applications
- Proficiency with painting equipment including brushes,



rollers, spray guns and other application tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and colour charts
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes
- Physical fitness and capability to work at heights, on ladders and scaffolding
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to project sites
- Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current First Aid certification and knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements (desirable)
- Experience with commercial and residential projects (desirable)
