Auto Electrician - (Heavy Vehicle/Trailer Fleet)

Four days on, four days off, all year round.

We're hiring an experienced auto electrician for hands-on work across prime movers, tankers, trailers and dollies. Shifts run between 6am and 6pm (12 hours in peak season, 10.5 in low season), with exposure across wiring looms, batteries and charging systems, lighting, EBS/ABS diagnostics, telematics and tanker-specific electrical equipment such as pump controllers, flow meters and load cells. Specialised heavy fleet - no FIFO, no city commute, no dealership repetition.

What you'll do

Diagnose and repair electrical faults across prime movers, tankers, trailers and dollies utilising modern diagnostic and fault-finding tools

EBS/ABS diagnostics, servicing and repair across the trailer fleet, including PIN 2 diagnostics and configuration

Install, maintain and repair wiring looms, batteries, alternators and starter motors, plus full trailer re-wires

Diagnose and repair lighting, sensors, and air conditioning electrical faults

Maintain and troubleshoot telematics systems

Maintain and repair Piper metering systems including re-wiring cabinet boxes

Take part in the workshop on-call roster

What you'll bring





Experience on trucks, trailers, tankers, plant or ag machinery

Solid diagnostic and fault-finding ability across 12V/24V systems

Able to read wiring schematics and use diagnostic software (WABCO, Knorr-Bremse, Haldex)

Highly desirable

Formal PIN 2 training

Prior work on bulk liquid or tanker fleets

Airconditioning training

Any OEM diagnostic training

What you'll get

4-on/4-off roster, shifts between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday

5 weeks annual leave plus leave loading

Average earnings $120k last financial year + super

Overtime and call-outs at double time (2-hour call-out minimum)

Weekly pay, tool allowance, uniforms, PPE and licence upgrade support
