JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a 14-bed general medicine unit caring for people with all acute medical issues. We have a special interest in caring for renal patients and work closely with our renal unit colleagues to provide positive outcomes. We recognise the importance of a sustainable workforce and value our culture that supports nurses with varying experience., The associate nurse manager (ANUM) role is responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership in a 14-bed general medical ward. This role requires high level communication skills within our multi-disciplinary team, intra hospital team and external providers. Working in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager, the ANUM ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred care while maintaining efficient unit operations and optimal patient flow., What it is like working at the Department of Health?

About the Candidate

- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of general medicine. An understanding of aged care resources.
- Knowledge of patient flow principles, practices and resources.
- The ability to support and educate your fellow colleagues in a team focussed environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills

Details of appointment

Permanent part time,



shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

- notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
