Capable and experienced Electrician / Traffic Signals Technician required for work with the TfNSW (RMS) traffic signals team based from a depot at Tweed Heads.
The primary purpose of this role is to undertake construction, maintenance, repairs and modifications associated with tunnel traffic, electrical distribution, fire and life safety, drainage and ventilation systems in accordance with current specifications and instructions, including supervision of the work of lower grade technicians, other trades persons and contractors.
To be suitable for this role, applicants will need to hold an Electrical Contractor License for qualified supervisor certificate (electrical).
Experience in instrumentation and electronics is required.
The key focus of this role will be undertaking maintenance and repairs on tunnel assets within the road network.
Electrician skills will be utilised on a daily basis.
Construction and maintenance of traffic signals, and fault finding experience will give you a distinct advantage.
Whilst most of this work will be undertaken in the local region,



there may be a very occasional requirement to travel/camp away for 1-2 nights at a time.
Accommodation costs will be covered and applicable allowances paid.
This role will involve working full time hours of work (76 hours/fortnight), initially for a period of 6 months, with potential for further work beyond this time.
Night shift work will be required for 1-2 weeks per month.
A start of work ASAP is required.

Electrical Contractor Licence or Supervisor Certificate (Electrical)
Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas ticket - preferred
Confined Space ticket - preferred
Current Australian driver licence essential - MR or above preferred
EWP ticket preferred
current WHS White Card - essential
positive all round fitness for manual work tasks
