Outstanding opportunity for highly capable healthcare professional to lead Health Services at Scotch College.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Health Services to lead and shape the delivery of exceptional healthcare across our vibrant residential school community.
Living on campus (preferred, but all applicants considered), this is a unique leadership chance for a healthcare professional to combine strategic health care vision with hands‐on operational expertise in alignment with best practice standards, school policies and legislative requirements.
You will oversee multiple on‐campus health centres, ensure the provision of high‐quality, student‐centred healthcare while fostering a culture of wellbeing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
With a passion for adolescent male health and wellbeing, strong clinical credibility and the ability to build trusted relationships across the community, you will contribute to health initiatives, risk management strategies, and provide expert leadership that supports the physical and emotional wellbeing of students and staff alike.
Key details:
Full time, permanent position (residential preferred, with all candidates considered)
Lead and mentor the Health Services team
Provide responsive health care to full range of school programs, including sport
About You
The successful applicant will have:

Deep interest in adolescent male health and welfare
Proven knowledge and experience in managing clinical governance responsibilities, staff supervision, budgeting, quality improvement and health service delivery
Current First Aid and CPR certification (HLTAID011 or equivalent)
Accredited Anaphylaxis Management training (as per Ministerial Order 706)
Demonstrated experience in allergy risk management and emergency anaphylaxis response
Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to build capacity in others
High-level clinical competence with the ability to assess health presentations, manage clinical risk, make sound decisions under pressure
Well-developed organisational, time management and IT skills (with knowledge of the MS Office suite)
Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, trust, ethics and integrity
Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration
Demonstrated experience as Registered Nurse Manager or in equivalent senior nursing leadership position in paediatrics/adolescent health or the education sector
Relevant tertiary qualifications (essential)
Postgraduate qualifications in Community Practice, Paediatrics, Health Management, Leadership, School Nursing, or a related discipline (highly desirable)




Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
Current Victorian Driver's License
Current VIT / WWCC (Employee)
