Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) is seeking a motivated Data Analyst to join our Business Services team. This role will support organisational performance, compliance reporting, data governance and continuous improvement by turning complex data into clear, practical insights.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager - Business Services, you will work across DVAC to analyse organisational, operational and service delivery data. You will develop dashboards and reports, monitor key performance measures, support contractual and compliance reporting, and help improve the quality, consistency and usefulness of organisational data.
This is a outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys building reporting tools, identifying trends, automating processes and presenting insights in a way that supports evidence‐based decisions.




What You'll Do
Analyse organisational, operational and service delivery data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and data visualisations using Power BI and Excel
Monitor KPIs, performance measures and reporting requirements
Support management, contractual, compliance and funding acquittal reporting
Improve data quality, integrity, consistency and governance practices
Automate reporting processes and reduce manual reporting effort where possible
Work with managers and teams to improve reporting capability and data literacy
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders
About You
You are analytical, curious and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in using data to improve organisational outcomes. You can communicate clearly with both technical and non‐technical audiences and enjoy turning information into practical advice.
You will bring:
Relevant qualifications in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Technology, Business Intelligence or a related field
Demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting




Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools
Strong analytical, problem‐solving and critical thinking skills
High attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Understanding of data governance, privacy and information management principles
Current Queensland Driver Licence and a current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one
Experience in community services, health, government or not‐for‐profit organisations, as well as knowledge of CRM systems, SQL or reporting automation, will be highly regarded.
