NAISDA is one of eight national arts training organisations, and plays a critical role in shaping world-class Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, talent and innovation.
The Role
This newly created role provides; strategic governance, executive support and fulfills Company Secretary responsibilities to ensure the ongoing success, compliance and sustainability of NAISDA's government requirements, organisational standards and funding agreements.
Working closely with the Board, CEO and Executive team you will play a critical role in maintaining best-practice corporate governance, supporting regulatory compliance and enabling informed decision making across NAISDA.
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the impact these issues have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, societies and culture
Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Relevant degree (law degree preferred)




Significant experience working in a similar position, with proven success in governance/ company secretarial, supporting Boards and managing complex governance requirements
Strong interpersonal and cross cultural communication skills
Proven high level organisational and problem solving skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Solid analytical skills and track record of accurate reporting
Results focused and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Experience within the Not-for-Profit / Performing Arts sector
Advanced MS Office skills
Willingness to work outside of core hours as required
Eligibility to work in Australia on a permanent basis
