The National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) is Australia's national accreditation body. We provide independent assurance of the technical competence and integrity of organisations for clients who require confidence in the delivery of their products and services.
We are seeking a full-time
Accreditation Specialist
to join our Sydney office. You'll receive comprehensive training to assess laboratories within our Materials, Assets and Products sector, commencing in Mechanical and Non-Destructive Testing disciplines, with the future expectation to be upskilled into other areas. Working alongside industry experts, you'll help uphold national technical standards while expanding your expertise in a supportive and collaborative setting.
About the role
Organise,leadand conduct assessments of laboratories against criteria based on ISO/IEC *****
Conduct assessments at client facilities with the support of technical experts
Prepareassessmentreports andmanage follow-up actions
Managerelationships with existing and prospective members and stakeholders
Respondto client enquiries and provide advice on accreditation requirements
Develop a strong understanding of accreditation criteria
Provide advice to technical experts, clients and the public on NATAs policies and technical requirements
Intrastate and interstate travel isrequired
Skills and experience
Tertiary qualification in a scientific,engineeringor related discipline with relevant professional experience
Experience in mechanical testing and/or non-destructive testing (NDT)
Understanding of management system principles and quality assurance activities (support will be provided to applythis practically)
ProvenAbility to plan,prioritiseand deliver multiple activities within settimeframes
Demonstrated experience building strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
Intermediate skills in software applications and databases, with willingness to learn new systems
Openness to expanding technical capability to meet evolving business needs
Previousauditing experience is highly desirable, although training will be provided
