About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Gardener/Grounds Person to join our Cairns‑based team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for delivering day‑to‑day gardening and maintenance services across our property portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:
Whipper snipping, mowing, and edging
Pruning, detailing, and general garden upkeep
Weed control and garden maintenance
Irrigation troubleshooting and basic maintenance




General building maintenance
Operation of gardening and grounds maintenance equipment
Minor servicing and care of gardening equipment
Contributing to a safe working setting across all sites
Assisting with minor maintenance and cleaning tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a gardener or grounds person
Current manual Driver’s Licence
Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor duties
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in gardening
Willingness to learn and develop recent skills
Calm and capable when working in occasionally stressful situations
Clear and effective communication skills
Has a “can do” attitude and is happy to help out across the team
