Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Fitter/Turner to join our manufacturing team at our Reservoir workshop.
About the Role
This is a hands on and varied position where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for manufacturing precision components and assembling machinery used within the food and beverage packaging industry.
Working alongside a skilled teams of engineers, machinists and tradespeople, your duties will include:
Operating manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Fitting, assembling and modifying mechanical equipment and machine components.
Manufacturing parts from stainless steel, aluminum, plastics and other engineering materials.
Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
Assisting with the refurbishment and testing of Rotary Filling Machines.
Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organized workshop environment.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:




Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Fitter.
Minimum 5 years' industry experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong fitting and machining skills using manual mills and lathes.
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
Experience working to tight tolerances and precise specifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
While not essential, experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
Food and beverage processing or packaging machinery.
Filling, capping, conveying or automated production equipment.
Stainless steel fabrication.
TIG welding.
Pneumatic systems.
Machine installation and commissioning.
