Experienced allied health or medical receptionist for the Sunshine Coast

The position

Dan Everson Podiatry is seeking to employ an experienced allied health or medical receptionist to work on a casual basis across its Sunshine Coast clinics (Nambour, Noosa and possibly Maroochydore clinics). We are looking for a mature confident person, with a skilled approach to work, who is able to work autonomously. Your dynamic personality and compassion for patients is also well regarded. Must have experience in a busy clinic with multiple practitioners working.

What the job involves

Your responsibilities will include the usual range of receptionist tasks such as welcoming patients, checking patient information and updating where required, scheduling appointments, dealing with patient enquiries in clinic, over the phone or via email, and managing billing, payments and medicare/health fund claiming.





You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all medicare, DVA, and health fund requirements for billing and reporting purposes. This is through carefully maintained records in our practice management software.

The person we are looking for
at least three years’ experience working as a medical/allied health receptionist;
mature and responsible outlook, and a desire to make the role your own;
ability to work autonomously;
robust communication and customer service skills;
an understanding of hygiene, cleaning and infection control measures as required in a medical setting, and especially in relation to COVID-19; and
ability to sterilise instruments an advantage.
