This is a 12-month fixed term
appointment FTE 0.8, with the possibility of extension and/or
permanency.
We are currently
seeking a Clinical Nurse (Research) to join our
team.We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated
individual the opportunity to develop their knowledge of research
methodologies to facilitate and coordinate research projects and
clinical trials within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Unit
based at Fiona Stanley Hospital. The successful applicant will
demonstrate a clear understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
and its practical application to trial management. Key activities
will include patient screening and recruitment, delivery and
compliance of protocol approved interventions, accurate data
collection, managing ethics and governance submissions, amendments,
and safety reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements,
and assisting with negotiation, preparation, and execution of study
related contracts. Knowledge of inflammatory bowel disease
conditions, the WA Health Research Governance System (RGS) or
previous experience undertaking clinical trials is desirable, but
not essential.

Fiona Stanley Hospital
(FSH) is an 863-bed tertiary and quaternary hospital
providing a broad range of specialised healthcare services. These
include the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer
centre, dedicated mental health facilities, maternity, paediatric
and neonatal care, as well as the State Adult Burns Service. FSH
also delivers highly specialised treatments such as heart and lung
transplantation and hyperbaric medicine.
