Depending on the NDIS participant, your responsibilities may include:Supporting NDIS participants with community access, appointments, shopping and recreational activitiesAssisting with meal planning, grocery shopping and meal preparationProviding prompting or assistance with personal care, grooming and dressingProviding medication prompts in accordance with the participant's support planSupporting participants to complete daily living and household tasksBreaking activities into straightforward and manageable stepsProviding reminders, repetition and clear instructionsSupporting participants to build independence, confidence and social connectionsAssisting participants to use public transport and safely access unfamiliar environmentsMonitoring fatigue, wellbeing and changes in presentationSupporting participants with emotional regulation by remaining calm,



reassuring and flexibleCompleting accurate shift notes, incident reports and other required documentationThe successful worker will need to:Understand autism, epilepsy and memory-related support needsCommunicate using clear and simple instructionsBe respectful of sensory sensitivities, including noise, heat, bright lights and unfamiliar environmentsEncourage independence while providing appropriate assistanceApplicants must haveNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Children CheckCurrent First Aid certificateCurrent CPR certificateReliable vehicleCertificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related qualification, or relevant experience
