Job DetailsLocation - Kalbar, QLDRemuneration:$90,000 - $105,000 per annum, plus work vehicle, and superannuationAbout the CompanyFarmcraft is a locally owned and operated family rural supplies business with 35 years' history serving Kalbar, Lowood, Boonah, Beenleigh and Coopers Plains in South East Queensland.
We're looking for a qualified agronomist to work across our Kalbar and Lowood stores, covering horticulture, fodder and pasture crops, with regular on-farm and in-store customer contact.About the RoleThis is a hands-on, customer-facing role.
You'll need to be comfortable talking with farm owners and family-run operations, building genuine relationships, and pitching in wherever needed — we run a flat structure with minimal hierarchy, and delivering product on-farm is part of the job, not beneath it.Main Responsibilities(must be demonstrated in your application letter/resume)Provide agronomic advice on crop protection, nutrition and seed across vegetables (carrots,



onions, sweet corn, beans, pumpkins, brassicas, cucurbits), lucerne, pasture and fodder cropsSupport in-store and on-farm sales, working with farm owners and corporate accountsBuild long-term relationships with customers and suppliersAssist with forecasting, extension activities, growerRequirementsEducation / Experience / SkillsBachelor of Agricultural Science or similar relevant qualificationStrong knowledge of crop protection, nutrition and production in horticulture and/or broadacre systemsBroad knowledge of fodder and pasture agronomyStrong relationship-building and communication skillsClass C licence (Forklift licence and AgSafe accreditation highly regarded, or willingness to obtain)Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
