ASX is seeking an experienced Calypso developer to join our Technology and Delivery division. The role involves designing, building, and operating scalable, resilient platforms that support critical market infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Develop and customize Calypso modules (workflows, trade processing, interfaces, reporting)
Provide BAU support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and defect resolution
Implement enhancements and configuration changes aligned to business requirements
Build and maintain integrations with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data, clearing, reporting systems)
Participate in release cycles (build, deployment, regression, UAT support)
Collaborate with QA to support test automation and validation of trade flows
Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of Calypso services
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment automation (GitLab, Ansible, etc.)
Document technical designs, configurations, and fixes

Qualifications
8–10+ years of experience on Calypso implementations/upgrades
Robust core Java development skills (collections, multithreading, JDBC)
Hands‑on experience with the Calypso platform (APIs,



workflows, engines, messaging)
Strong understanding of capital markets (trade lifecycle, derivatives, FX, fixed income)
Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server)
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux settings and scripting
Robust debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible
Experience with Kafka or other messaging frameworks
Expertise in system integration and complex Calypso customizations
Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
Nice to have: Experience with MarkitWire, clearing workflows, collateral management
Nice to have: Experience with Calypso version upgrades
Nice to have: Exposure to automation frameworks/QA integration
