Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Adviser to join our growing team.
This roleis vital to supporting Suvos commitment to zero harm and fostering a proactive safety culture across all operations.
The idealcandidate will bring a proven background in mining, construction, or industrial manufacturing, combined with a hands‐on approachto health, safety, risk management, and emergency response.As a key member of our HSE team, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, improve systems and processes, anddrive safety performance in line with Suvos operational and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage occupational health and safety systems aligned with company strategy and regulatory standards.
Conduct and support risk assessments (e.g., JHAs, WRACs), audits, and inspections across mine sites and facilities.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
Collaborate with operational and maintenance teams to embed safety into daily processes.
Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and drills,



particularly in high-risk environments.
Monitor and report on HSE performance indicators and ensure actions are closed out effectively.
Inspecting and auditing workplaces, processes, plant, and chemical and physical hazards for legislative compliance
Training employees in personal protective equipment and protected working procedures
Contribute to quality, environmental, and sustainability initiatives as part of Suvos integrated HSEQ approach.
Provide technical HSE advice to project teams during expansion and development activities.
Identifying hazards, and assessing and controlling risks in the workplace
Recording and investigating injuries and equipment damage, and reporting safety performance
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience (5+ years preferred) in Health & Safety within the mining, minerals processing, construction, or industrial sectors.
Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, standards, and risk management practices.
Practical experience in emergency response planning, incident investigation, and safety systems improvement.
Proven ability to influence and engage with a range of stakeholders, from site workers to senior management.
Background in mechanical/electrical environments is an advantage.
Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (Cert IV/Diploma or higher).
Incident investigation (ICAM or similar) and risk management training desirable.
