An HCM transformation program is building out its delivery team, and we're looking for a Test and Release Lead to bring discipline, visibility and assurance across the program.

This is a hands‑on coordination role at a senior level. The program is consolidating multiple systems onto a single platform across three components: payroll, workforce management and HCM, with around 10 downstream application integrations supported by an external SI partner. Payroll accuracy, award compliance and data integrity are critical, so testing and release done well genuinely protects the organisation.

What you’ll own

You’ll develop and maintain the testing and release governance for the program. That means coordinating system integration testing and end‑to‑end testing across multiple integrations, planning and reconciling parallel pay run testing before cutover, and overseeing data migration validation so source‑to‑target integrity is confirmed before go‑live.

You’ll lead cutover planning and execution, including dress rehearsals, go/no‑go decision frameworks, rollback planning and hyper‑care support. Business subject matter experts will perform much of the UAT, so a big part of the role is guiding, supporting and coordinating their testing rather than doing all of it yourself.





Defect management and triage across internal teams, implementation partners and downstream vendors sits with you too.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have at least 10 years in testing and release management, with real experience on large‑scale enterprise transformation programs. Ideally you’ve supported HCM or payroll platform implementations or consolidations, including cutover from legacy systems, and you’re comfortable working with vendor‑led delivery and shared accountability models.

We’re looking for someone who has planned and coordinated parallel pay run testing, knows how to support business SMEs through UAT rather than just skilled testers, and has worked across both agile and waterfall. ISTQB certification or equivalent is expected.

Solid working knowledge of testing and release tooling such as Jira or HP ALM, and a positive grasp of automated testing and CI/CD environments.

18‑month fixed term contract. Hybrid working, based in the North‑Western suburbs of Sydney.

This is a program at an early and important stage. The right person will help set the standard for how testing and release is done, not just step into an existing process.
