As a for-purpose organisation with 75 Kindergartens and Early Learning Centres, we support more than 6,500 Victorian children each week.The Marketing, Communications and Enrolments team plays a key role in connecting families to our services, strengthening our brand, and driving engagement across communities.We are committed to equitable access to early childhood education and are looking for an Community Outreach & Engagement Officer to help increase participation in free kindergarten - particularly for underrepresented and vulnerable families.About the role?
This full time position is a highly people-focused, target-driven role where you will act as the key link between families and ECMS services.You will work directly with families, community organisations, and councils to drive enrolments, remove barriers to access, and support families through the full enrolment journey.
This is a field-based role, requiring regular travel and community engagement.What will you do?
Achieve enrolment targets through proactive outreach and effective pipeline managementBuild solid relationships with families, councils,
and community groupsEngage directly with vulnerable and underrepresented communities to improve accessGuide families through the enrolment process with empathy and clarityPromote ECMS services to increase awareness and participationCollaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless family experienceMaintain accurate data and track engagement using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot)Contribute to continuous improvement and community engagement strategiesAbout You:Demonstrated experience in community engagement, outreach, enrolments, or a similar roleProven ability to meet targets or KPIsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse communitiesExperience working with vulnerable or underrepresented groupsAbility to work independently while managing competing prioritiesExperience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot)Current Working with Children Check and driver's licenceBackground in early childhood, community development, or social services (Desirable)Experience in not-for-profit or public sector environments (Desirable)Why ECMS?
