Registered Nurse - Day Therapy Unit (Oncology)
Ringwood Private Hospital - Thompson Unit
Part-Time | Flexible Hours
Ringwood Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced oncology-trained Registered Nurse to join our Day Therapy Unit (Thompson Unit) on a part-time basis with flexible working hours.
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Oncology and/or Haematology.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, including the safe administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies.

Key Responsibilities
Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments
Providing education to patients and families on treatment, self-care, and side effect management
Delivering evidence-based nursing care for patients receiving infusions for conditions such as Crohn's disease and Multiple Sclerosis
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintaining a strong focus on patient and staff safety
Supporting patients through recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life care

Valid Working with Children Check
Experience in oncology and/or haematology nursing
Ability to administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and related treatments
Competency in:
PICC and PORT access
IV cannulation and phlebotomy
Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) management
Current ADAC chemotherapy competency
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Commitment to quality patient care and compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic computer literacy
A current National Police Check
A current Working with Children Check
Evidence of immunisation status, including COVID-19 vaccination

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VICNMA/ANMF-VIC Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement ****, a salary ranging from $******* - $******* per hour.
