We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer/Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team within a busy Commercial/domestic Joinery company.
This is a full-time position based in Braeside.In this role, you will combine your creative design expertise with consultative sales skills to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth.
As a leader in High end Joinery we require someone who can be instrumental in transforming client visions into beautifully designed spaces whilst building lasting relationships and achieving sales targets.This role may suit a designer who has experience working with builders/joiners/shopfitters.This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your design talent whilst developing your commercial acumen in a fast-paced workplace.Key responsibilitiesConsult with clients to understand their design requirements, lifestyle needs, and budget constraintsCreate innovative and functional interior design concepts and visual presentations that align with client objectivesPrepare detailed design proposals, mood boards, and 3D visualisations to present to clientsManage the design process from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring quality and timelinessDevelop and nurture client relationships to maximise customer satisfaction and encourage repeat businessIdentify sales opportunities and work towards achieving individual and team sales targetsLiaise with suppliers, contractors, and tradespeople to ensure seamless project executionStay current with interior design trends, materials, and products to provide clients with up-to-date recommendationsProvide expert advice on colour schemes, furniture selection, lighting,



and spatial planningHandle client inquiries professionally and respond promptly to maintain strong customer relationshipsWhat we're looking forDiploma or degree in Interior Design or equivalent professional qualificationProven experience working as an Interior Designer, preferably with a track record of successful project completionsStrong portfolio demonstrating your design style, creativity, and range of projectsExcellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasivelyProficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar toolsUnderstanding of building codes, spatial planning, and ergonomic design principlesSales experience and demonstrable ability to meet or exceed sales targetsStrong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of interior design materials, finishes, and current market offeringsExcellent interpersonal and negotiation skillsFlexibility and adaptability to work in a collaborative team environmentA genuine passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces that enhance clients' livesWhat we offerWe are committed to supporting our team members' professional growth and wellbeing.
