This gives our team exposure to a broad range of credit scenarios, including refinances, purchases, equity releases, trust structures and portfolio lending.With a growing client base and consistent deal flow, we are looking for an experienced Loan Writer / Associate Broker who is confident dealing directly with clients, capable of taking ownership of applications and genuinely interested in progressing into a mortgage broker role.About the RoleThis is a client-facing role responsible for managing loan applications from initial assessment through to settlement.You will work directly with clients to gather information, review supporting documents, explain the lending process, manage expectations and keep applications progressing.
You will also work closely with the broking team to structure deals, assess servicing, review lender policy and prepare applications for submission.This is not a purely administrative position.
We are looking for someone who can communicate confidently with clients, identify issues early and take responsibility for moving each application forward.For the right person, this role provides a genuine pathway into broking.
As your experience develops, you will become more involved in client meetings, loan strategy, lender recommendations and presenting lending options, with the goal of progressing into managing your own clients.Key ResponsibilitiesManage loan applications from initial assessment through to settlementLiaise directly with clients to gather information and supporting documentsReview income, liabilities,



financial statements and other supporting informationComplete servicing calculations and scenario modellingResearch lender policy and assist with deal structuringPrepare and submit loan applications to lendersManage lender queries, valuations, loan documents and settlement requirementsKeep clients and relevant stakeholders updated throughout the processIdentify risks or missing information and recommend practical solutionsEnsure applications meet compliance and documentation requirementsMaintain accurate records within CRM, aggregator and lender systemsSupport brokers with client preparation, loan proposals and application strategyAbout YouPrevious experience in loan writing, mortgage lending, credit assessment, parabroking or broker supportConfident and comfortable dealing directly with clientsStrong understanding of lender policies, servicing calculators and application requirementsGenuine interest in progressing into a mortgage broker roleStrong analytical skills and attention to detailHighly organised and able to manage multiple applications and deadlinesProactive, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of the processStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience within a mortgage broking business is highly regardedExperience with self-employed, commercial or complex lending scenarios is advantageousExperience using aggregator platforms, lender portals and CRM systems is advantageousWhat We OfferCompetitive salary package of $85,000 to $105,000 plus superannuation, depending on experienceA genuine and supported pathway into mortgage brokingDirect mentoring from experienced brokersExposure to residential, investment, commercial and complex lending scenariosInvolvement across the full client journey, rather than being limited to administrationStrong and consistent deal flowOpportunities for increased responsibility as the role developsA supportive and growing team environmentLong-term career development within Ark LendingOffice-based role in Sutherland Shire, NSW
